The City of Marlborough (City), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the LowPressure Sewer Force Main Installation on Concord Road in Marlborough, Massachusetts, CONTRACT NO. ED 2022-05 for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists ofthe installation of 1.25" and 2" HDPE low-pressure sewer force main and laterals, 8" PVC gravity sewer, temporary and permanent paving and restoration of lawn areas on a portion ofConcord Road, including labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Hard copies of bids will not be accepted or by the City offices. Each sealed electronic bid shall be submitted on the prescribed forms Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five (5%) percent ofthe value ofthe bid in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39 M (a), and made payable to the City ofMarlborough, the Awarding Authority. The bid deposit may be submitted in the form of a certified check, a treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company or a Bid Bond. In lieu of a Bid Bond, deposit checks must be submitted in a sealed envelope with a completed Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the City before the bidding deadline. Due to COVID-19 bidding protocols, at this time, the City is not accepting cash bid deposits.
