Renovation of a mixed-use development in Shelby, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of July 14, 2023, project was awarded to Lamb Builders, awarded amount is $436,000.00.** A Lump Sum bid for the project will be received. A Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or surety company bond pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised code in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a bid guaranty bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100% of the total bid shall accompany each bid. Successful Bidders shall conform to the Davis-Bacon Act Schedule of Prevailing Wages. The bidder may access the Federal Previailing Wages online for current edition of wage rates. Each bid must be submitted in duplicate on a blank form furnished by the Architect, in a sealed envelope. Mark plainly on the outside of the envelope, the project you are bidding on. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bids to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids. The General Construction scope of work consists of an interior renovation to two existing classrooms within the middle school building. The scope includes selective demolition of existing masonry walls. There are a few masonry walls that will be furred out with gypsum wallboard. There will be construction of new metal stud walls with gypsum wallboard and acoustic batt insulation, new acoustic ceiling tile ceiling, new flooring, painting, and fixed casework. There are new wood doors with hollow metal frames and aluminum storefront included in the scope Plumbing Work: The plumbing scope of work consists of select demolition of existing fixture and piping. The new work includes providing new fixtures, sanitary/vent piping, domestic water piping. New plumbing fixtures will be connect to existing. HVAC Work: The HVAC scope of work consists of select demolition of existing HVAC units, associated controls and piping. The new work includes installation of new exhaust systems, a technology cooling unit, two residential split system air handlers with duct mounted hot water coils connecting to the districts existing heating plant, associated diffusers, grilles, ductwork, piping, insulation and controls. Electrical Work: Selective demolition of existing lighting, power, and techonoly devices. Provide new lighting, power from new panelboard, fire alarm The new lighting system will contain LED luminaries with local controls installed in each new space. Provide power to the new mechanical system including condensing units, fan coil units, mini split system, exhaust fans, and the like. Pathways for future technology cabling to be installed. Technology Work: The technology scope of work is to include but not limited to network category cabling, and buildout of new technology room within the suite. Providing an $15,000 allowance for Building Owners access control contractor to extend the current access control system.
