**As of October 2, 2022 this project has been awarded to Precision Communications with bid amount $60,862.38** Installation of a Second Tornado Early Warning System The Town of Gordonsville is soliciting sealed bids for the installation of a second tornado early warning system. The submitted bids should include geographical evaluation, installation, hardware, software, battery backup and initial testing for a system that provides adequate coverage for the Town of Gordonsville and is compatible with our current system. The Town has the right to reject any and all bids. A. The purpose of this bid is to outline the minimum acceptable specifications for an Electronic Voice and Siren Warning System. B. Each bidder will provide a quote for one (1) omni-directional, nonrotational, electronic, voice-siren, as described in the specifications. C. The vendors bid shall include siren speaker arrays, speaker cable, siren controllers, siren radio controls, antennas and antenna cables, encoder(s), pole mounting brackets, lightning arrestors, batteries, and installation of all equipment, in accordance with the installation specifications provided within this package. D. The Public Siren Warning System (herein shall be known as "The System") will utilize electronic, high-power voice and siren systems. The System will consist of non-rotating, omni-directional speaker system that can provide siren warning and voice communications throughout 360 degrees. The System shall be a twoWay radio-controlled system that will provide positive feedback for silently testing each siren. E. Siren coverage must be estimated in accordance with FEMA's Guideline for Outdoor Siren Warning System CPO I-17, using the 10dB loss per distance doubled, sound attenuation formula. The equipment must deliver 3600 watts of power with 9 each speaker drivers and 9 each power amplifiers. The siren shall have a coverage range of 5,800 feet @70db. F. Each bidder shall submit, along with their proposal, a list of equipment by model or brand name that is being bid. G. Each bidder shall submit a letter of conformance confirming that all Products are designed and manufactured in the USA. H. All system components furnished for this project shall be new products currently listed in the manufacturer price sheets. All remote sirens, their controls and encoders shall be current standard and advertised models. I. Only bids for electronic voice and siren system will be accepted. Any bid that includes an alternate for sirens not capable of delivering both siren tones and voice communications will be deemed non-compliant and will be disqualified.
