The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Sewer system improvements, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of approximately +-6651 LF of 8" cured in place pipe (CIPP) of the existing sewer, heavy cleaning and disposal of sand/debris, CCTV, and all appurtenances necessary to complete the job. All work on the Project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Plans and Specifications, which are on file and may be reviewed at the office of the Mayor and the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City of Forsyth prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the City of Forsyth, Georgia, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Forsyth reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
