R The Summit Housing Authority ("Housing Authority") is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide agency-wide general construction work including but not limited to residential apartment turnovers, renovation of bathrooms, interior and exterior buildings and grounds repairs and other related construction work at various locations. The contract term will be a period of one (1) year with the option to extend, at the Housing Authority's election, for two (2) one-year terms. Vendors must have at least five (5) years' experience in general construction renovation work for residential, interior and exterior buildings and grounds repair including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, masonry, tiling, ceiling, painting, concrete, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. The successful vendor(s) must demonstrate they can adequately provide the required skilled personnel to complete the work within the determined schedule. The vendor(s) must be familiar with current applicable code requirements and secure all necessary permits and licenses to successfully complete the tasked scopes of work Requests for interpretation and other questions must be made in writing by Wednesday, September 28, 2022, by 5:00 PM to procurement@summitnjha.org with the Subject heading "General Construction Contractor RFQ Questions". Following advertisement, the Housing Authority may wish to amend the contents of this solicitation. In such situations, the Housing Authority will issue an addendum to the solicitation setting forth the nature of the modification. All addenda will be posted on the Housing Authority's website at www.summitnjha.org and distributed to the prospective respondents, if known, via electronic mail. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for cause and to waive any informality in the submission process if it is in the public interest to do so. No qualification shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the due date of the qualifications, without the consent of the Housing Authority.
