Due to a schedule miscoordination, the date of the public bid opening is being rescheduled for 11/22/22 with the award date being rescheduled for 12/5/22. Only the bids received on or before the original bid due date of 11/10/22 will be considered and will remain closed until the new bid opening date. As was the case at the original bid opening date the bids will be opened and read aloud. Garland Substation Transformer Procurement Project. Bids will be acted upon at the regular council meeting on October 27th, 2022, or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. Regular council meetings are held on the 4 th Thursday of each month. General summary of Work to be performed: CONTRACT 22-01 - Garland Substation Transformer Procurement Project, for Osage Municipal. Work shall be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, including the Project Manual and Drawings, which are on file at the Issuing Office of the Engineer, Stanley Consultants, Inc., Muscatine, Iowa 52761. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be submitted in triplicate, on forms provided with the Project Manual, to Osage Municipal Utility ATTN: Stacy Walsh on or before the time specified above. Upon notification of award, Successful Bidder shall furnish contract security in the form of performance and payment bonds described in the Contract Documents. Performance of the Work will start within 30 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed, and shall be completed within the time stated in the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to defer acceptance of any Bid for a period not to exceed 60 calendar days after the date Bids are to be received. The Owner reserves the right to consider such factors as time of completion of the Work, materials and methods of construction, experience and responsibility of the Bidder, and similar factors in determining which Bid it deems to be in its best interests. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any Bid and to accept the Bid which it deems to be in the best interest of the Owner.
