To furnish all labor and equipment for the inspection of Utility Wood Poles Pole inspections must be performed using a Resistograph when the following conditions occur 1. CCA poles that are more than 30 years old 2. All Creosote and Penta poles must be tested using a Resistograph 3. No holes over 1/2 will be allowed to be drilled into poles Must be able to use Futura Field Pro for inspection and data collecting Must be able to import data to and from Futura as needed Must be capable of identifying and repairing minor issues such as missing guy markers, broken grounds and broken anchor rods Must be able to attach pole tags as requested by City of Covington The City of Covington reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. To inspect approximately 11,694 utility wooden poles for the City of Covington Electric Department. This number will increase as new services are constructed. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid are contained in this packet. Proposals must be typed or printed in ink. The first contract shall be in effect for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional calendar years upon mutual agreement of both parties. Either party may terminate this contract with thirty days notice without cause and without further obligation except for payment due for services prior to date of such termination. City of Covington may reject any and all bids and must reject a bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any formal contract with the City of Covington. Also, the right is reserved to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid in the proposing procedure. The City of Covington shall be the sole judge as to which bid is best, and in ascertaining this, will take into consideration the business integrity, financial resources, facilities for performing the work, and experience in similar operations of the various bidders.
