Site work and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify companies who can implement, fabricate, and install LED lighting at the Goodfriend Tennis Center (Knoxville, TN) in concert with drawings and specifications attached herein. Work should be completed in a sustainable manner, while also meeting the specifications outlined for an FBS (Division 1-A) institution in a Power Five Conference. The University is looking to have this job completed no later than January 8, 2023 . a) Location- Goodfriend Tennis Center - 1015 20th Street Knoxville, TN 37996 b) Current Lighting System includes 181 Metal Halide lights with total wattage of 195,480 c) Proposed Lighting System includes direct lighting for a total of six (6) indoor tennis hard courts. d) Proposers to provide an indirect Lighting System as recommended by the ITA and USTA while conforming to the drawings and specifications included in this RFQ. e) Proposed Lighting System shall include furnishing and installing new electrical cabinetry for the purposes of lighting control f) Proposed new Lighting System to include 40 -50 LED lights per court with additional lighting in the viewing area to maximize viewing experience for patrons. g) The Proposer shall provide copies of current Contractor License/Registration with the State of Tennessee in the bid response h) Dedicated fixtures for each of the six (6) courts under a reflective material i) Proposer shall complete work outlined in specifications within 30 days of the award notification j) Goodfriend Tennis Center to remain open during installation whenever possible. Activity on certain courts may be limited to allow Proposer to work on lighting for individual courts as needed k) Proposer should provide at minimum a one-year warranty on LED lighting and installation ) Proposer must provide University with list of services Proposer intends to contract out (if any) m) Provide a detailed report of multi-year savings with the transition to Lighting System (5 years minimum) and/or utility rebates associated with the LED lighting installation n) Proposer shall submit Shop Drawings to the University's Department of Capital Projects' designated project manager for review and approval as called for in the Technical Specifications or required by the University. Proposer to submit detailed diagram with placement of new fixtures on each court, number of lights included in each fixture, and locations of lights for viewing area. The data shown on the Shop Drawings will be complete with respect to quantities, dimensions, specified performance and design criteria, materials, and similar data to show University the materials and equipment proposed to provide and to enable University to review the information The University intends to award this solicitation to one respondent, unless the University deems it to be in its best interest to award to more respondents. The University retains sole discretion over this decision. The University may cancel this solicitation at any time for any reason. The University's decision to cancel the solicitation is within the University's sole discretion. Deadline for Questions 12/08/2022 at 2:00 PM EST Respondents may ask the Office of Procurement Services questions in writing via email to the email address listed above in the "Communications" subsection prior to the submission deadline. In the event that a respondent communicates with the Office of Procurement Services verbally, the respondent understands that verbal communication is non-binding, and respondent further acknowledges the only official communication about this solicitation is written communication. Respondent understands that it must not rely on verbal communications with the University. If the initial Contract Sum as awarded exceeds $100,000, Contractor shall provide Contract Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of Contract Sum covering faithful performance of contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder.
