Tennessee School for the Deaf Knoxville (TSDK) is seeking a vendor to provide weekly pool maintenance to check, adjust the chemical levels, and clean the two indoor pools located on the Knoxville campus (approximately 45 x 20and 45 x 75). Contract is for three years with two one year renewals. TSDK has an indoor swimming facility consisting of two pools that circulate a common water supply. The pools measure roughly 45' x 20' (shallow) and 45' x 75' (competition depth). The pool temperature is controlled by two boilers that heat circulated water. The chlorine and pH levels are controlled by a Chemtrol 350 unit using a PPG Chlorinator 3075 and carbon dioxide gas (CO2) as a pH buffer. Vendor shall call security to disarm the pool alarm using the phone located next to the entrance with the number posted. Vendor shall check out the key to the pool from security and return the key each visit. Vendors entering the campus under this solicitation shall be required to pass a TBI fingerprint background check in accordance with T.C.A. 49-5-413 prior to entering the campus. In addition, each Vendor's employee who enters the campus under this Contract shall be required to provide photo ID for security check through the Raptor system, which checks against sexual offender databases, for entering campus. Vendor shall wear a visitor badge during the visit. Vendors shall not service the pool when students are present. All questions are due by 09/28/2022 in accordance with Terms & Conditions 1.3.
