Site work and paving for a road / highway in Statesboro, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Statesboros Engineering Department is requesting for proposals for a design professional for a constructed roadway according to the Citys standards and paved with all subsequent drainage issues incorporated to a finished product under the project name: 2024 RFP ENG-129: Anderson Street Paving. The design must be conducted in two (2) phases for developing concepts for review and anticipating land purchase, R/W acquisition, and traffic configuration in phase one before performing hard design in phase two. The plan production format will be per the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) PPG and reflected in the final design. All design must be in accordance with the latest AASHTO, MUTCD, and GDOT Standards and Specifications. This roadway, approximately 385 feet, serves as a connector road between East Main Street and Hill Street. The City of Statesboro desires to have the design plans for the project to be completed by end of May 2024, so that any right-of-way acquisition can take place shortly after and construction can commence as early as construction funds for this CIP are made available July 1, 2025. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
