Demolition and site work for a residential development in Moline, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Building Demolition/Site Work The demolition includes removal of two (2) single family residential structures, garages and related work. The properties are location at 1411 11th Street, Moline, Illinois and 1411 10th Street, Moline, Illinois. All bids must comply with applicable Illinois law requiring payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. Bidders must comply with the Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. The envelope that contains the bid shall be plainly marked, "SEALED BID - BUILDING DEMOLITION/SITE WORK". The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive formalities or irregularities as its best interest may require. No Bid bond is required. The Moline-Coal Valley School District No. 40 serves students within the Illinois communities of Moline and Coal Valley. Moline-Coal Valley School District No. 40 serves 7.300 children in grades Pre-K-12. The District has ten (10) elementary schools, two (2) middle schools, one (1) high school/alternative high school, one (1) early childhood center, one (1) Administration Office, and one (1) sports complex. The District is headquartered at the Administrative Office (Allendale), located at 1619 11th Avenue, Moline, IL, 61265. Questions may be submitted in writing to Keith Karstens, Director of Facilities or kkarsten@molineschools.org. Replies will be issued to all bidders ofrecord as Addenda; bidders shall acknowledge receipt of Addenda in the Proposal Form. No addenda will be issued later than three days prior to the date for receipt of bids. Public sidewalks are not to be disturbed. All sidewalks damaged due to demolition or any other work shall be removed and replaced as per the current Moline Special Provision for sidewalk repairs at the contractor's expense. All public drainage facilities on and near the project sites are to be protected and not to be disturbed. All building debris is to be hauled to an approved landfill. Dumping receipts must be submitted to the owner. All concrete steps, sidewalks, patios and driveways, except public sidewalks, on the project site as well as fencing, posts or other structures or debris are to be removed at each site. All sewer and water services are to be cut off at their respective mains, per City of Moline Codes and Specifications. All holes shall be backfilled with moist aggregate and compacted. All pavement removal and replacement shall be as per Moline Special Provision #111. All backfilling and pavement patching costs are incidental to building demolitions and should be included in the bid. The basement area is to be filled to within 18 inches offinish grade with clean fill dirt or granular material. CA 6 or approved equivalent. All fill materials shall be deposited in layers not exceeding six inches compacted thickness. Compact material to not less than 95 percent of maximum density: AASHTO T99. The final 18 inches offill materials is to be filled with topsoil suitable for seeding. Unless otherwise noted, all foundations and slabs are to be removed to a minimum oftwo feet (21) below finish grade. Haul removed materials from site. Holes are to be made in basement floors to facilitate drainage. Unless otherwise noted, all areas disturbed by demolition activities are to be fine graded to facilitate positive drainage on the entire project site. Once fine graded, this Contractor is to provide a starter fertilizer, grass seeding and mulching according to manufacturer recommendations to establish grass growth. Seed mixture to be 70% Kentucky Blue Grass. 20% Creeping Red Fescue Grass and 10% Norlea Perennial Rye with weed content not over .4%. Fill areas ofremoval with dirt to match adjoining sloping grades
