Reference number : 1646131 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-10-14 DVR-10459-FCI - Construction of a Research Station in Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut. The project consists of the construction of a new research station in Qikiqtarjuaq, a village located on Baffin Island, Nunavut. This station will be used primarily to study oceanographic processes. The one-storey building will be equipped with accommodation and research spaces for a capacity of about 20 people, 16 of which will be in accommodation. The infrastructure of approximately 588 m2 of gross surface area will be composed of 2 laboratories, 2 offices, a storage space, a room for diving equipment, a kitchen-dining room with pantry, 4 bedrooms, a living room, washrooms, showers, a laundry/janitorial room and a mechanical room. The building will be placed on an invert and supported by metal pilings in the permafrost. It includes a wastewater recycling system.
