Ben Franklin Transit, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, is soliciting Invitation for Bids (IFB) from qualified Contractors for construction of a new transit hub. The Transit Hub will consist of a concrete pavement bus travel aisle, a concrete sidewalk pedestrian transit platform, pedestrian sidewalk concrete pathways, shelter amenities, a driver comfort building and adjacent equipment yard, utility connections for electrical, sanitary sewer, and municipal water, and stormwater swales with irrigated landscaping. The bus aisle will also require the installation of a precast arch culvert over an existing wetland and associated wetland mitigation landscaping. Construction activities will require traffic control, demolition and civil construction in preparation for new facilities. All work shall conform to municipal permit and code requirements of the City, County and Federal Regulations and Specifications in which the construction is located.
