Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Richland, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a transportation facility; transportation facility; transportation facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Bid date has been extended from 10/18/22 to 10/25/22. Ben Franklin Transit, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, is soliciting Invitation for Bids (IFB) from qualified Contractors for construction of a new transit hub. The Transit Hub will consist of a concrete pavement bus travel aisle, a concrete sidewalk pedestrian transit platform, pedestrian sidewalk concrete pathways, shelter amenities, a driver comfort building and adjacent equipment yard, utility connections for electrical, sanitary sewer, and municipal water, and stormwater swales with irrigated landscaping. The bus aisle will also require the installation of a precast arch culvert over an existing wetland and associated wetland mitigation landscaping. Construction activities will require traffic control, demolition and civil construction in preparation for new facilities. All work shall conform to municipal permit and code requirements of the City, County and Federal Regulations and Specifications in which the construction is located. WA State Prevailing Wages will be required on this Project Washington State prevailing wages will be required for Benton County. Equal Employment Opportunity The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Opportunity laws and regulations. Disadvantage Business Goals Use of DBE/MBE/WBE/MWBE/UDBE contractors and suppliers is encouraged but not mandatory. Contractors submitting bids may contact the Washington State Office of Minority and Womens Business Enterprise to obtain information on certified firms. WISHA and OSHA Regulations The contractor agrees to abide by all laws, rules and regulations promulgated by the United States of America, the State of Washington, or any agencies or subdivisions thereof, specifically including WISHA and OSHA regulations currently in effect at time RFQ due date and during the agreement term. Contractors who can demonstrate substantial economic interest may protest BFTs decision regarding a provision of the Invitation for Bids or contract award.
