Technical questions should be directed to Christopher Mumby at 517-483-4242 or christopher.mumby@lansingmi.gov ROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Lansing intends to purchase equipment to replace existing core infrastructure and operate a network that will connect North Grand Datacenter (Lansing), SWOC Datacenter (Lansing) and City Hall (Lansing). Bidders must, using the information provided in this RFP, design a CORE NETWORKING SWITCH solution proposal fulfilling the required capabilities and the initial services plan. This proposal should meet or exceed as many desired and additional network system capabilities as possible. From an installation perspective, no installation is required. Bidder's response must include: o Equipment and maintenance proposal with pricing. o Logical network diagram(s) for the proposed solution. o Diagram of each unique node hardware layout in a rack and components in the rack (labeling each diagram to identify node depicted). o A wiring map depicting interconnected components at each node. o Must be compatible with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco 2960X and Cisco 9200 series edge Layer 3 switches. o Hardware proposed (part numbers and description of part function) for each node. o Bill of materials needs to be provided with specifics with SFP's and QSFP+'s based on requested design drawing. o Technical characteristics, current feature capabilities, and limitations of the proposed design. o Description of the capabilities and architecture of the proposed solution. o Competitive advantages and growth possibilities of the proposed solution. o Assumptions used to develop the CORE NETWORK- REPLACEMENT-HARDWARE ONLY solution proposal (if any). o Explain how the proposed RFP/23/005 CORE NETWORK-REPLACEMENT-HARDWARE ONLY o meets our identified required, desired, and additional capabilities. Indicate your ability to support the required and desired capabilities, providing as much detail as possible for each point. Equipment specifications may be attached to the response; pointers to online equipment manuals, configuration examples, sample designs, white papers, etc. are also welcome. In addition to the required and desired CORE system capabilities, we encourage you to share any additional features, capabilities and functionality you believe differentiates your CORE system and fits the City's needs. Bidders must provide detailed information, including pricing schedules if applicable, for price protection on future purchases. Proposals that provide for significant and sustainable value to the City are preferred.
