Project consists of mechanical unit replacement within Building 2030 of the existing school building and mechanical unit control replacement within entire building (alternate). Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5] percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities Successful bidder shall begin procuring materials on receipt of the Notice to Proceed (est. November 8, 2022) and shall complete the Work prior to August 1, 2023. Bidder shall submit with the bid form an estimated material procurement timeline along with an estimated construction timeline. Bidder shall be advised all work shall be accomplished during non-school hours, weekends, and school holidays. At no point shall the existing mechanical or electrical system be removed or disabled while students and/or teachers are present within the building. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Prior to bidding this project, it is strongly encouraged for bidders to evaluate their current and future work load as it relates to the project timelines specified above.
