The consultants construction estimated for this contract is: Base Bid: $260,000.00 Alternate #1: $16,500.00 Alternate #2: $9,600.00 The bidder acknowledges that this is a unit price contract; that unit prices established will remain in effect and valid throughout the duration of the contract; the quantities shown are estimated quantities for budgetary purposes only; the award of this contract does not guarantee contractor the entire work shown in this FORMAL INVITATION FOR BID (IFB); the City may order all, some, or none of the work shown in this IFB; and projects will be assigned as they become available. The City may elect to award this Project based solely on the base bid, based on a combination of the base bid plus any combination of selected alternates or based on a combination of the base bid plus all alternates. The determination will be made solely by the City after receipt of bids and will be made in the best interest of the City. If a respondent does not submit a bid for an alternate item or multiple alternate items, and after receipt of bids the City makes the determination to include the alternate(s) in the award, the respondent would not be eligible for award. This is a Qualified Low Bid Solicitation. It is understood and agreed that the work is to be substantially completed on or before 60 calendar days. If alternate 1 is accepted 2 calendar days will be added to the total days. If alternate 2 is accepted 5 calendar days will be added to the total days. This project does not include hazardous environmental work. This project requires 2 project signs. Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program Compliance - Respondents shall meet the subcontracting requirements as stated on 050.01 Form and on the Subcontractor/Supplier Utilization Plan posted with this solicitation on the City's website. The Subcontractor/Supplier Utilization Plan will be determined off of base bid. Wage Decision - Respondent shall meet the prevailing wage rate requirements established for this contract and shall reference the wage decision posted with this solicitation on the City's website The Deadline for questions is scheduled for October 11, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. CT. Segmented M/WBE Goal. In accordance with SBEDA Ordinance Section III. D. 2. (e), this contract is being awarded pursuant to Segmented M/WBE Goals. CONTRACTOR agrees to subcontract or self-perform at least two (2%) of the contract value to a certified African American Business Enterprise (AABE) firm headquartered or having a significant business presence within the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area (SAMSA). This two (2%) subcontracting goal will also count toward the aforementioned twenty two (22%) M/WBE subcontracting goal.
