Redevelopment of a Recreation and Parks Master Plan. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from qualified proponents in response to development of a Recreation and Parks Master Plan is underway.. The Master Plan is intended to serve as a strategy and action plan for recreation facilities, parks, trails, and services in the municipality. The Master Plan should build on the foundation of services currently available, and establish a priority list of projects and tasks to be undertaken to meet community recreation needs over the next 10 years. The goal is to ensure that the Village of Burns Lake provides recreation, parks and trails services in a coordinated, cooperative, and cost-effective manner at a level that is sustainable for taxpayers. The Village of Burns Lake is posting this RFP in coordination and collaboration with the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. The RDBN is simultaneously posting a RFP for a Parks and Trails Master Plan for the rural areas directly adjacent to the Village of Burns Lake. The Regional District and Village are encouraging proponents to submit proposals to complete the two Master Plans simultaneously in a manner that maximizes opportunity for project efficiency and increased coordination between the Master Plans. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
