As part of the District of North Vancouvers (Districts) asset management plan, existing culverts throughout the District are assessed to identify and prioritize culverts that are in need of rehabilitation or replacement. The District invites detailed Proposals from qualified civil engineering consultant firms (Proponents) for the provision of preliminary and detailed design, and tender and construction support services to support the District with the delivery of culvert rehabilitation or replacement projects, all on an as and when required basis under a Standing Offer Agreement (SOA). The District is looking to retain proponents with expertise in one or a combination of: trenchless pipe rehabilitation (e.g., CIPP lining, sliplining, pipe bursting), open cut culvert replacement, and/or creek hydraulics assessment and design (e.g., catchment analysis to determine design flows, culvert capacity assessment, culvert inlet/outlet hydraulic assessment, erosion protection/bank stabilization) A successful proponent need only have expertise in one of the above-mentioned fields; however, competence in a combination of these fields will be considered an asset. The District intends to hire at least one proponent per specialized field of work listed above. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
