Berry Event Center Infrastructure Upgrades Bid Pack 2. This bid package is for infrastructure improvements to support the new ice making system that is in bid pack 1. This contractor shall coordinate their work with the bid package 1 contractor. Bid package 2 will include select demolition of building systems, finishes, mechanical/plumbing systems, and electrical/lighting systems, as detailed on bid package 2 drawings. New work will include; new mechanical room ventilation system equipment and ductwork, sealing and re-insulation of existing ductwork within mechanical room, relocation of HVAC piping as required to accommodate new duct and plenum installation, new AHU-3 rooftop desiccant dehumidification unit equipment, ductwork, high pressure steam piping reconnection, roof curb, and structural reinforcement. New AHU-9 rooftop desiccant dehumidification unit equipment, ductwork, and high-pressure steam piping extension, roof curb, and structural reinforcement (Alternate 1). New AHU-6 and AHU-7 rooftop heating and ventilating unit equipment, ductwork, and high-pressure steam piping reconnection and curb adaptors (Alternate 2). New roof mounted relief air hoods and insulated blank-off panels for existing wall louvers. Also required is cutting and reinforcing of precast panels as required for new louver and door installation, coring of precast panels for piping penetrations, miscellaneous masonry patching, new insulated metal doors and door hardware. New finishes will include painted mechanical room floor and painted insulated louver blank-off panels. Plumbing systems include; relocation of plumbing systems to accommodate new ductwork installation, new plumbing piping associated with Zamboni fill heat exchanger, relocation of eyewash/shower and mixing valve, installation of new eyewash/shower and mixing valve, installation of backflow preventer and fill piping to new cooling tower. Electrical systems include; replacement of fluorescent lighting with LED lighting in the mechanical room and Zamboni room, relocation of 30kVA transformer and panelboard, new feeders and duct detectors for new mechanical equipment, feeders for (2) new MCC's (MCC's provided by others), and reworking the electrical systems in the Telecommunication Room to accommodate a new wall. Structural work will include reinforcement of roof as required for new rooftop equipment, cutting and reinforcing of existing precast panels as required for new louvers and doors, new support structure for new cooling tower, new concrete pads for exhaust fan and door pad. All as detailed and described in the Plans and Specifications for Bid Package 2. For reference: Bid pack 1 includes ice making system replacement at the Berry Events Center. In general, work consists of demolition of the existing concrete ice rink floor and direct R-22 refrigeration system and the construction of a new indirect concrete ice rink floor and industrial grade ammonia refrigeration system. Work includes: demolition, saw cutting, excavation, concrete, refrigeration equipment and piping, painting, electrical, mechanical, controls, and other related items.
