Renovation of a water / sewer project in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Igeneral, the work on this project consists of structural repairs to the ACMUA Treatment Plant Warehouse Ceiling Structure, Location- ACMUA Operations Building 1151 N. Main Street Pleasantville, NJ 08232 Completion- 60 Calendar Day Remove loose material along ceilings and columns in areas identified in the project documents. . Repair cracks greater than 1/4" in concrete ceilings and beams with hand applied repair mortar (Sikatop 123 Plus, or equal), including sawcutting, cleaning, and surface preparation ofthe substrate (Sika Armatec 110, or equal). . The Contractor shall be responsible for work site protection and debris containment throughout the duration ofthe project. Each work area is to be protected and sealed with polyethylene barriers to prevent dust and debris from other areas ofthe facility. . All work not specifically described or listed in the specifications that are incidental to work completion shall be considered as included within scope. . All work not specifically listed in a bid form pay item shall be incorporated into the lump sum/unit pay items listed. . Apply waterproofsealant to all ceiling surfaces (Sikagard 701W, or equal). The Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning and preparing all surfaces prior to application. . Repair shallow spalls in concrete on ceilings and beams with hand applied repair mortar (Sikatop 123 Plus, or equal), including sawcutting, cleaning, and surface preparation ofthe substrate (Sika Armatec 110, or equal). Repair spalls in concrete ceilings and beams where reinforcing steel is exposed with hand applied repair mortar (Sikatop 123 Plus, or equal), including sawcutting, cleaning, sandblasting, surface preparation ofthe substrate (Sika Armatec 110, or equal), and rebar splicing. . Remove and replace damaged bricks and repoint damages mortarjoints in indicated locations as detailed in project specifications. . The Contractor is responsible for coordinating all work with the Owner. The building shall stay in operation throughout construction. Phasing and detouring plans will have to be submitted for Owner approval prior to construction. ALTERNATEBID #1: Apply waterproofsealant to all ceiling surfaces (Sikagard 701W, or equal). The Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning and preparing all surfaces prior to application. The Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority, in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority in an amount not less than ten percent but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et.seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. Copies of the bid forms, contracts and specifications may be obtained from said Remington and Vernick Engineers, by prospective bidders upon request, upon payment of the sum of $50.00 for each set. Payment Must Be Received Prior to Obtaining Said Specifications, Either by Mail or in Person. No Bids Are to Be Dropped Off at the Engineers Office.
