A detailed scope has not yet been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: As directed by the Town Officials, the main objective of the study was to analyze the possible adaptive reuse options of the 1070 Suffield Street building and site for public safety facilities. These main objectives are: 1. New Police Headquarters through modification and renovations of the present 1070 Suffield Street building and site. 2. New Police Headquarters and New Fire Sub Station through construction of a new Fire Department Sub Station on the present site with the new Police Department Headquarters within the existing 1070 Suffield Street facility. Option P1 is the layout that maximizes the reuse of the existing 1070 Suffield Street building and site. Within this scheme, many of the existing office spaces, core facilities, entrances and utility spaces are maintained while accommodating the Police Department’s programmatic needs. As part of the P1 Option, the majority of the site configuration is also maintained to serve the Police Department. The present parking driveways, site utilities and parking configuration are maintained. The overall construction cost for this option is $7,729,378.00 with a Total Project Budget Cost of $9,478,078.00. The Option FP-2 demonstrates a layout to accommodate the construction of a new Fire Department Substation on the 1070 Suffield Street site with the Police Department occupying a renovated existing building as described in the P1 Option. The FP-2 Option requires considerable site redesign and requires considerable lot coverage for the two buildings, parking lots and added driveway. The overall construction cost for this option is $16,140,739.00 with a Total Project Budget Cost of $19,585,739.00. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
