Site work for a water / sewer project in Mountain View, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project includes the replacement of approximately 3,260 linear feet of water main and approximately 1,680 linear feet of sewer main along Miramonte Avenue, between Cuesta Drive and Castro Street. The project will abandon the existing 4" water main on Miramonte Avenue, between Sladky Avenue and Hans Avenue; abandon the existing 6" water main (backyard easement), between Alison Avenue and Miramonte Avenue; and replace the 8" water main along Miramonte Avenue, between Sladky Avenue and Marilyn Drive, with new 12" water main. The water main at the cross streets within the project limits will need to be connected to the new main in Miramonte Avenue. There are three existing sewer mains within Miramonte Avenue. The existing 8" sewer main on the eastern side of Miramonte Avenue will be upsized to a 10" sewer main. The existing 8" sewer main on the western side of Miramonte Avenue will be repaired at targeted locations. A majority of the new water main will be installed by traditional open trench construction. A segment of the alignment crosses below Permanente Creek (existing concrete channel) and will require installation with trenchless construction methods. The existing residential water services will also be replaced and reconnected to the new 12" water main, with meter replacement where needed. Additionally, to improve connectivity between pressure zones, the existing 18" discharge pipe from Graham Reservoir will be connected to new 12" main. The existing 8" sewer main on the eastern side of Miramonte Avenue will be replaced with the pipe bursting method. The targeted repairs on the existing 8" sewer main on the western side of Miramonte Avenue will be replaced using open-cut construction. The segment of the sewer alignment that crosses below Permanente Creek will require rehabilitation with CIPP lining. The existing residential sewer services will also be replaced and reconnected to the new 10" sewer main, with sanitary sewer cleanout replacement where needed. This project also includes abandonment of an existing 8" water main under a new bike path connecting Evelyn Avenue and Villa Street west of Shoreline Boulevard. A new irrigation connection will also be provided for the bike path project to be served from an existing water main. Engineer's Estimated Cost: $3,200,000 to $3,600,000 Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
