Bids will be acted upon by agents of Shane & Nichole Taffe on Thursday October 27, 2022, 4:00 pm, at 115 South Delaware., Mason City, Iowa, or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. The method of construction shall be by Single Stipulated Sum Contract, and all work is to be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared. Each bid must be made out on a bid form blank furnished by the Bergland & Cram Architects, Mason City, Iowa and obtained at the office of the Architect. Work shall commence immediately after award of contract and be completed by May 1, 2023. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, familial status or sexual orientation. The Contractor shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, familial status or sexual orientation. Such action shall include, but not be limited to the following; employment, upgrading, demotion or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for employment, notices setting forth the policies of non-discrimination. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall, in all solicitations or advertisements for employees placed by them or on their behalf, state that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin or age.
