Fire Station Garage Floor Epoxy Questions are submitted online No Project Overview: o Fire HQ Garage is approximately 7000+/- sq/ft area consisting offour (4) drive thru vehicle storage bays w/curbing approximate 4200 sq/ft. o Two access walkways on North/South sides ofvehicle bays approximately 1,560 sq/ft. o One (20x17) storage room located in the SWC ofgarage approximately 340 sq/ft. o One (10x17) laundry/SCBA maintenance room approximately 170 sq/ft. o One (10x8) bathroom approximately 80 sq/ft. o One (20x17) workshop area approximately 340 sq/ft.(*Owners option) o One (12x17) parts storage room approximately 204 sq/ft. o One (6x17) combustibles storage area estimated 102 sq/ft.(*Owners option)A three step application process consisting of 1) floor preparation, 2) application oftwo (2) coats of 100% epoxy (polyurethane and/or poly-aspartic) finish, 3) Recommendations and Scheduling1) Floor prep a. Mask and cover all areas not receiving epoxy b. Grinding (diamond) for prep in required areas c. Sweep and vacuum up dust and debris from grind d. Fix cracks and imperfection(s) on floor e. Vacuum and/or mop floor with xylene prior to coating f. Prime floor g. Lightly sand floor between coats for maximum bonding and adhesion h. Full broadcast ofpaint chip color selected by Township representative i. Apply 80/120 anti-skid grit for texture and traction purposes to reduce slipperiness j. Clean up and dispose of all job/project related debris
