The Worcester County Commissioners are currently accepting bids for rehabilitation work to be performed on a single-family home located in the Snow Hill area of Worcester County. Bid specification packages and bid forms are available to licensed Maryland Home Improvement Contractors. In awarding the bids, the Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever bids they determine to be in the best interest of the County considering lowest or best bid, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of bidders being considered, previous experience of bidders with County contracts, or any other factors they deem appropriate. All other inquiries shall be directed to Davida Washington, at 410-632-1200, ext. 1171. ) The Contractor shall coordinate all work in progress with the homeowner so as not to severely disrupt living conditions. Inside work which is disruptive, or displaces the use of the kitchen, bathroom, or bedrooms, shall be pursued continuously on normal working days. 2) The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and replacing furniture and other articles, to and from other storage areas on premises, as needed to allow work space or to protect such possessions. Provide plastic film protection over all furniture (if not removed), carpets, finished floors, etc. - also install film at doorways as required.
