NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Board of Education will receive bids for Additions and Alterations to J.V.B. Wic off Elementary School Phase 2 (FVHD Project No. 5339), together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C. The Board of Education and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. U is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2022, 9:00 AM. Contractors should meet in the lobby at J.V.B. Wicoff Elementary School, 510 Plainsboro Road, Plainsboro, NJ 08536. Attendance is strongly encouraged. All attendees must be mindful of any public health emergency policies and protocols pursuant to the School District. Contractors assume all risks associated with their presence on District premise. Construction workers shall follow recommended precautions to protect themselves and other workers, staff, students, etc. at the project site(s). paragraph for more info on how to obtain a bid set and to download the Bidder Registration Form needed. All fees are non-refundable. Shipping (hard copy or CD): Please provide your shipper number (FedEx or UPS) and preferred shipping speed. For hard copy sets only: In addition to your shipper number, an additional fee of $25 for handling must also be provided. Payment must be in the form of a check or money order, made payable to FVHD Architects/Planners. All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by October 12, 2022 and sent by faxing to 609-883-2694 or by emailing cwoodward@fvhdpc.com, or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Bid Proposal shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a sealed envelope, addressed to the owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title, bid number, bid due and time on the outside of the envelope. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00; and must be delivered to the above place on or before the hour named. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), prior to date bids are received. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. the "Public School Contracts Law. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Affirmative Action Against Discrimination (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.). An Initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful contractor. (Form AA-201). Per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate issued prior to the award of contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject all bids or to waive minor informalities in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Owner to do so.
