As of August 7, 2024, this project is in the design phase. Bidding should take place towards the end of the year with construction starting in the spring of 2025. The Town of East Haddam is seeking proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms or (teams of architectural and engineering firms) to provide complete design services with respect to the Town's desire to structurally stabilize and improve the existing conditions at Fire Company #2 located at 44 William F. Palmer Road, Moodus, CT. Services requested include architectural / engineering services through schematic design, design development, construction document, and bidding phase, including professional cost estimating services. Selected firm shall be eligible for extended services through the construction administration phase upon additional funding authorization by the Owner. Proposals and fees will be publicly read at time of bid opening and will be further evaluated by staff at a later date. Proposals may be withdrawn sixty (60) days after opening if no award has been made. Responses to questions submitted shall be provided to all known respondents to this Request for Proposals. No questions will be accepted or answered after Friday, October 21, 2022. Any questions or requests for clarifications should be directed to Donald Angersola. The Town of East Haddam reserves the right to waive any informalities or defects in any qualification or proposal response. The Town reserves the right to accept other than the lowest proposal if the Board of Selectmen, in its sole discretion, deems it to be in the best interest of the Town to do so. Responses, amendments to responses or withdrawal of responses after the time set for qualifications or proposal acceptance will not be considered The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
