Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 26,276-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
BC Wildfire Service currently has facilities in a compound at the Revelstoke airport. The current facilities are insufficient in footprint and configuration, ineffective to provide optimum working conditions and aging. BC Wildfire Service wishes to develop the site and give a more effective workplace approach by constructing a new building in place of existing facilities. The Ministry has undertaken a preliminary feasibility study to review some configuration options in relation to the operational needs of a new Fire Zone. TIMELINE: The works have started in July and expected completion date is end of September.
