Sand, Loam, Clay, Gravel Stone and Roadmix If you have any questions, please call Fred Bialka at (203) 783-3225 or e-mail to fbialka@milfordct.gov . Under this proposal the successful bidder(s) will provide and deliver sand, loam, clay, stone, gravel, and/or roadmix, without price increase, to any location in Milford for one year from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, on an "as needed" basis. We ask for prices if you deliver to our Public Works yard or if you just load material into our trucks at your facility. If you deliver, loads/deliveries will be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, unless otherwise directed. The award will be split between those bidders who propose the lowest unit price for each item. Vendor's trucks may be required to pass over the City's truck scale at the Milford Transfer Station on Oronoque Road (1.5 miles from the Public Works yard) in order to verify the net weight of deliveries. Successful bidders may be required to supply a material sample to the Public Works department for approval prior to the start of any delivery. Bidders may submit "partial" bids for those items which they can provide. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the City's best interests.
