This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of aluminum fencing panels for the Department of Veterans Affairs, located at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA 70460. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications A, a Contractors License Number in the appropriate classification(s) such as Building Construction and/or Fencing must appear on the bid opening envelope on all projects in the amount of $50,000.00 or more (and $1.00 or more if hazardous materials are involved). Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashiers check) must be included with the bidders submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation. Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. Please refer to Attachment A: Special Terms and Conditions page four (4) for complete details of this requirement. o Furnish all labor, tools, materials, and equipment, to remove approximately thirty (30) existing sections of damaged fence panels and replace with thirty (30) new six (6) foot by six (6) foot black aluminumpanel, pickets four (4) inch on centers, three (3) rail, to match existing fence panels.
