All interested parties are invited to attend. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Department of Public Works. The bid forms must be completely filled out for the various unit cost of work and any forms in the exhibits. The project involves provisions of estimating, labor, supervision, travel costs, equipment, materials and other services as specified in this bid package for non-emergency commercial plumbing services within the City of Manchester. The City maintains approximately 70 structures and there is a need for plumbing services as needed and as funding allows. The City will enter into a written contract for Plumbing Services with the ability to extend for up to five years based on the bid tabulations. Each to be determined plumbing project will utilize an approach as follows, 1. Detailed estimate by contracted plumber of work to be accomplished and based on bid values. 2. If approved, the City will issue a purchase order for that specific project based on bid tabulated costs of services and material costs plus markup. 3. The contractor will proceed with the work based on the estimate. 4. Once completed, inspected and accepted by the City including any cleanup, invoice the City for the work. A Bid Bond for $5,000 dollars is required to be submitted with the Bid and only from a Bonding Company authorized to conduct business in the State of New Hampshire by the State of New Hampshires Insurance Commissioner. Performance and Payment bonds for the project may be required if any project were to exceed $150,000. The contractor will be responsible for the supply and completion of all aspects of the future projects as defined in this request for bids. The contractor will conduct a thorough review of all of the requested services and must take responsibility for the entire contract. The plumbing contractor must utilize full time employees and whom are employed by the company submitting the bid and not under subcontract.
