Renovation of an educational facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sunnybrook Health Science Centre is currently developing an LED lighting retrofit project to have their existing lighting more energy efficient by having all their non-efficient lighting changed to an LED light source at the Bayview Campus in Toronto. The campus is operated by SHSC and is located at 2075 Bayview Avenue. This project will encompass sixteen (16) of their wings with approximately 7000 rooms and retrofitting approximately 45,000 luminaires. NORR Architects and Engineers Limited has been retained by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to design and implement an LED lighting retrofit at the Bayview Campus. The project will consist of replacing and retrofitting all non-energy efficient luminaires in multiple wings of Bayview Campus. This will be accomplished by either replacing the existing fixtures with new LED type ones, retrofit existing fixtures with an LED retrofit kit or simply by re-lamping the fixtures. The type of retrofit/replacement will be determined on a case-by-case basis as directed by NORR. With NORR's assistance, the start of construction of this project is expected to occur November 2022 and be completed by November 2024. The intent of this prequalification is to populate a pre-qualified data-base of contractors with the necessary expertise, capability and resources to perform work on SHSC projects. Only those contractors that prequalify will be eligible to submit tenders.
