The project consists of repainting and deck repairs of the Green River Bridge along Meeker Street in Kent. The work will also include minor structural repairs to the bridge, erosion and sediment control, work access, containment, and traffic control. The bridge painting work is highly sensitive to weather conditions. Additionally, traffic impacts to the surrounding community could be severe. As such, a continuous full bridge closure with detours will only be allowed for an 8-week period between 6/24/24 to 8/16/24. Singe lane closures are allowed for the duration of work. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is approximately $3.4 to $4.0 Million *The value for this project is based on a financial range. Apprentice Utilization Requirements are mandatory for all public works estimated to cost one million dollars or more, in which case no less than 15% of the labor hours must be performed by apprentices. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most responsive, satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof.
