As of October 26, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on November 1, 2022 Bid will be received by Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority (herein after called the Owner or the LTMUA) at the offices. Deviation from this submittal procedure will subject the proposal to rejection. The work of this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: The project consists of eight (8) new water meter chambers in Original Leisure Village and three (3) replacement water meters in existing meter chambers to remain in Leisure Village East. Construction includes installation of insertion valves, piping reconfiguration outside both ends of meter chambers, water sampling station and radio transceivers installations, new precast concrete top slabs for the three (3) existing meter chambers and all work, necessary and incidental thereto. Each Proposal must be submitted utilizing the forms contained within the Contract Documents. It must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the BIDDER, his address and name of Project(s) for which the Bid is submitted. Materials to be contained within the sealed envelope are specified under "Instructions to Bidders." Bid Proposals shall be complete, in ink, and any Bids incomplete or not submitted in a sealed, specially addressed envelope may be considered informal. Bidding Documents by mail should include an Additional $30.00 to cover postage and handling. The payment shall be in a check form and shall be drawn Payable to Van Cleef Engineering, Inc. Payment will not be refunded and the Contract Documents need not be returned. Each Bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the full amount of each Contract Bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable to: Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority, and shall be without condition or qualification. All Bidders shall be required to comply with Chapter 127, P.L. 1975, c. 127, requiring each Bidder and each Subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State of New Jersey an Affirmative Action Program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all categories. Bids are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. All bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. and the N.J.S.A. 34:1B-5.1, Chapter 150 Laws of 1963. If the Bidder is a Corporation or a Partnership, the Bidder, in conformance with Chapter 33, P.L. 1977, shall submit with his Bid, a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders who own a 10 percent or greater interest in the firm. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so.
