Norwich Public Utilities is seeking qualified Utility Safety and Environmental Health Consultant Services that will encompass approximately one hundred and twenty (120) employees of various disciplines in electric, natural gas, water, wastewater and administration. Norwich Public Utilities is the city-owned provider of electricity, natural gas, water, and wastewater service for Norwich. NPU serves approximately 25,000 residences and businesses as well as the surrounding towns of Lisbon, Franklin, Bozrah, Lebanon, Preston, Montville and Sprague. Provide one (1) primary Safety consultant on site. Consultant shall hold a safety professional credential (or similar) and have depth of knowledge in Electric, Water, Wastewater and Gas Utility disciplines. Maintain relationships with utility trade organizations including, but not limited to, American Gas Association, American Public Power Association, North East Public Power Association, American Water Works Association, in matters pertaining to safety and environmental health. Annually review Safety Programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
