Site work for a road / highway in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
DriveOhio, in partnership with INDOT, is looking for potential partners to deploy the three AV solutions in commercial trucks operating on I-70 between Columbus and Indianapolis. Although I-70 is the priority route, deployment teams can identify additional routes that traverse one or both of the states (e.g., Ohio Turnpike, Indiana Toll Road, I-75, etc.) in their application. Final Questions Due: Thursday prior to the scheduled opening date. Responses to Questions Due: October 21, 2022 Selection/Award: December 6, 2022 Notice to Proceed (NTP): No later than February 3, 2023 Routine operations over I-70 between Columbus and Indianapolis, although additional roadways may be included in the route, proposal scoring will be related to the amount of travel on I-70. If the project team determines that an acceptable level of participation on I-70 has occurred, additional routes may be considered. o Compliance with both state's platooning and truck automation laws, regulations and policies during operations, please note (as outlined later in this RFP), it is the responsibility of the I-70 TAC project team to ensure the deployments comply with the current regulations in both states regarding truck automation by coordinating directly with deployment teams regarding the requirements that must be implemented. o Demonstration that project system requirements can be provided or satisfied currently or in time to deploy during the project timeline.
