Dufferin Transfer Station Weigh Scales Improvements. The scope of the Work for Dufferin Transfer Station Weigh Scales improvements, work includes but is not limited to the following activities: .1 Prepare detailed construction staging and traffic control plans. .2 Provide traffic control to always maintain one weigh scale in operation, including flag persons and the provision of barriers, lane painting and signage to isolate the construction areas .3 Disconnect, protect, and reinstall scale deck load cells/sensors including stub columns and wiring connections as per manufacturer's recommendations. .4 Remove and dispose off site the existing concrete scale decks and steel support framing. .5 Complete a weigh scale pit concrete wall and footing condition survey after the removal of the scale decks. .6 Supply and install new concrete scale decks including all hot dipped galvanized steel support framing and fittings. .7 Supply and install scale deck pit entry hatches including stainless steel ladders and fittings. .8 Supply and install explosion-proof lighting within the scale deck pits including all controls, wiring, conduits, circuits, and connections. .9 Remove and dispose off site the scale house transaction windows. .10 Supply and install new scale house transaction windows equipped with air curtains including modifications to existing openings and interior and exterior restoration. .11 Construct concrete curb extensions to the existing scale house curbs. .12 Supply and plant tree wind breaks on both sides of the scale house including fine grading and sodding restoration in areas of plantings .13 Commissioning of the new weigh scales including calibration and certification of the load cells/sensors.
