The City of Waukesha intends to develop a placemaking plan for Friedman Alley which is located in downtown Waukesha. The alley is a working alley but is also a main pedestrian connection between Main Street and the Fox River and River Walk. The City is seeking a Placemaking firm/professional to assist the City staff with the creation of an actionable plan for introducing art and pedestrian scale amenities and visual appeal to the alley. The process will include gathering input from local stakeholders including downtown business owners, property owners and artists. Review public and private use of the alley to understand design restrictions o Attend and participate in one public meeting with stakeholders o Provide a placemaking design and criteria for the alley o Provide estimated cost per element shown in final design The City of Waukesha reserves the right to make all decision relative to the selection of consultants that will be in the best interest of the City of Waukesha.
