The Christina School District is seeking educational consultant(s) to work collaboratively with district and school leaders to continue developing the capacity of our staff to engage and motivate culturally and linguistically diverse students through an ever-deepening understanding of the elements of culturally responsive teaching and social-emotional, relational and cognitive aspects of teaching. The continued aim of these professional learning experiences is for all educators to further their own understanding of what an inclusive learning environment looks like and feels like for all students. We endeavor to create and sustain environments where students know that they belong. We are seeking consultant(s) to facilitate professional learning, during SY22-23, of our school-based DEI Teams as they assume leadership in this endeavor. 4 full-day, in-person sessions for all DEI Teams. Each school, listed above, will have a DEI Team (4-6 people) which will consist of at least: a building administrator, specialist, classroom teacher, instructional or non-instructional para. In addition to the school based team, there will be 1 district DEI Team which will include the districts Equity Officer and additional district leaders. The district will secure the location with access to presentation technology. Required outcomes of these sessions must include, but not limited to: completion of a needs-assessment for each DEI Team, well-developed logic-model style success planning document, implementation and evaluation plan. 4 virtual, 1 hour sessions, with each DEI Team. Required outcomes of these sessions must include, but not limited to: individualized support with implementation and progress monitoring of strategies developed by each DEI Team, sharing of resources to support the teams growth in awareness resource which affirms planned strategy, and support with communication to staff and community of the school DEI plans. The virtual sessions will be facilitated on the districts Zoom account or similar platform). 1 evening session (2 hours in person) with the Christina School District Board to share data on the DEI Plans for each school which will include information on needs assessment, developed strategies, implementation and progress monitoring plans, and developed evaluation plan. Monthly 1 hour check-in (either in person or virtually) with the district DEI Team to plan for upcoming sessions and discuss progress with each schools DEI plan. There is no Bid Bond Requirement.
