Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Tolland, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 2,560-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
The Town of Tolland, CT is seeking a qualified contractor to design and build a pole building on a site located at 118 Old Post Road, which is owned by the Town of Tolland. The proposed pole building shall be designed and constructed by the Contractor and located on a level site, prepared by the Town of Tolland Public Works staff, as a three-(3) bay building, 40' deep x 64' long. The Town is open to designs that exceed the minimum specifications. There shall be three (3) overhead steel garage doors measuring 14' x 14' in size with two (2) steel entry doors measuring 36" x 80" in size located at each end of the building. The sides of the building shall be 8' o.c. minimum with horizontal cross members at 2' o.c. finished with painted metal siding, minimum 28 gauge steel, 40 year warranty. The roof shall be 28 gauge steel, painted, 50 year warranty with ridge vent, colors to be determined by the Town of Tolland. Engineered roof trusses, 4' o.c., 4/12 pitch, 30-5-5 loading are required. The finished wall height shall be approximately sixteen feet at the front and rear of the building. Overhangs to be 12" boxed, all four sides, front and rear to have gutters and downspouts. The Town will contract individually for electric service to the building site. It is important to note that the Town of Tolland expects the Contractor to provide drawings of the front view and side views of their proposed pole building along with Engineer stamped drawings of the proposed trusses at the time of their RFP submission. All necessary tools, equipment and materials to complete this Project shall be provided by the awarded Contractor. Coversheet with contractors name, address, phone, email and contact information. References: A list of three (3) municipal or corporate references including name, address, phone number, fax number and email address. Bid price: Lump sum bid must include all materials and services required to fulfill the Scope of Work. Partial or incomplete bids shall not be accepted. Addendum reflecting additions or deletions if necessary. Q&A period will end on Oct 26, 2022 2:45 PM EDT .
