Renovation of a water / sewer project in Medway, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The base bid and bid alternates for this project include, but is not limited to, the following work: Base Bid: Purchase, installation, and startup of one new screw pump IP-03, motor, deflection plate, upper and lower bearing assemblies, electrical work, and other appurtenances necessary to place one new screw pump into successful operations at the Clark County Southwest Regional Wastewater Treatment Center. Bid Alternative No. 1: Remove existing sluice gates, SLG-01, SLG-02, SLG-03, and associated frames, stems, stems guides, retrieval devices, access hatches, and other associated appurtenances. Replace each sluice gate and associated appurtenances as specified in Section 40 50 59.20-Sluice Gates. Bid Alternative No. 2: Remove existing screw pump IP-02, upper and lower bearing assemblies, deflection plate, channel grout, drive motor, and other associated appurtenances. Patch all concrete damaged during demolition. The above description shall serve as general information only and shall not be construed to limit the contractor's responsibility or obligation to comply with the Contract Documents and Detailed Technical Specifications. The State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements found in Section 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code are applicable to this Project. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this Project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the Bid; or 2) a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the Bid. Checks should be made payable to the Board of Clark County Commissioners. FAILURE TO SUBMIT A PROPER BOND WILL AUTOMATICALLY INVALIDATE THE BID. Successful Bidder will be required to post an acceptable Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. If successful Bidder fails to enter into a proper contract or defaults in any portion of his Bid, the Bid guarantee shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. Bid guaranties of unsuccessful Bidders will be returned following award of Bid. The apparent successful Bidder shall pay wages to each employee at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in the current wage determination as published by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce. The apparent successful Bidder on any contract exceeding $100,000 requiring prevailing wages must submit its two most recent financial statements that have been compiled, reviewed or audited by a licensed Certified Public Accountant within seven days after Bid opening date and must certify compliance with the County's financial requirements/tests, a copy of which are included in the Bid documents. Attention of the Bidders is called to the following: compliance with the County's Equal Opportunity Policy; and signing of a Non-Collusion Affidavit, a Personal Property Tax Statement, a Non-Discrimination Provision, and an Affidavit in Compliance with ORC 3515.13, which are to be included and returned with the Bid. PLEASE NOTE: The County is exempt from all Federal, State, Local and/or Excise Taxes. If a Contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the responsible Bidder with either the lowest responsive Lump Sum Base Bid or the lowest responsive Lump Sum Base Bid plus or minus any Bid Alternatives(s) selected by OWNER whose evaluation indicates to OWNER that the award will be in the best interest of the Project. Bid from the successful Bidder for the Lump Sum Base Bid plus or minus any Bid Alternative(s) selected by OWNER may not necessarily be lower in price than the Lump Sum Base Bid or Bids from other Bid Alternative combinations. The Board of County Commissioners of Clark County, Ohio, Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids; and the Board Also Reserves the Right to Waive Any Defect in a Bid Which Does Not Materially Alter the Bid Item and Accept Any Bid Which It Deems Adventageous. All Bids Remain Subject to Acceptance for 60 Days After the Time of Receiving Bids .
