•Remove two (2) existing galvanized steel culverts and replace with two (2) approximately 40’ galvanized steel culverts in existing location to match existing dimensions and location of culverts. Both culverts are arched galvanized steel culverts with an approximate 12’ 9” circumference. Existing culverts are located approximately 300’ east from the W 6th Street and 463rd Ave intersection. City of Volga, South Dakota, will receive sealed competitive bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the following street improvements: Approximately 4,500 square yards of gravel shaping and 1,125 ton of asphalt concrete to pave approximately 1,760 feet of W 6th Street from the edge of the new Westland III development to the intersection of W 6th Street and 463rd Ave. Road will be 4" thick by 29 feet wide. No curb will be installed. Bids will be presented and possibly acted on at the City Council meeting on January 3 at 5:30 PM. All bids must be accompanied either by a certified check, cashiers check or draft payable to the City of Volga in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total sum of the bid issued by a state or national bank located within the State of South Dakota or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Upon awarded bid contractor must provide a payment and performance bond and a certificate of insurance listing the City of Volga as an additional insured within 10 days. The work is to be completed by June 30, 2023. The City of Volga reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any and all bids.
