Sheridan College is seeking an experienced and qualified contractor who will furnish all materials, labour, equipment and application necessary for the complete and proper installation of intumescent fire protection work to the steel structure and supports in accordance with the intent of the documents and as specified herein. The works includes but is not necessarily limited to supply all labour, supervision, materials and equipment for removal of existing intumescent coating system by abrasive blasting, rust, scaling etc., application of three (3) new coat system, demolition and replacement of the concrete sidewalk and fill at each column's base. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: - Surface preparation of columns for the application of the fire proofing - Intumescent fireproof coatings for five (5) exterior circular structural steel columns and base plates - Corrosion protection/primer for steel columns and base plates. - Topcoat for intumescent coatings - Repairs at column base including new concrete slab and caulking after completion - Removal of existing intumescent coating system, rust, scaling, etc. - Demolition and replacement of concrete sidewalk at column base The site of the work is located at Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga - A-Wing. 4180 Duke of York Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5B 0G5. The term of the contract is to be for a period of one (1) Year, with an option in favour of Sheridan to extend the contract on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to six (6) months of additional optional term.
