Renovation of an educational facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work called for in these Bid Documents includes the removal and disposal of existing boilers, pumps, capping the existence lines going to geothermal loop in both of these facilities. Also, adding heat exchangers, cooling towers, holding water tank and one boiler to each facility. Bids are to be completed on the bid form contained in the Bid Documents. A copy of the bid with original signatures by the bidder, including all required information, attachments and exhibits, including an original bid bond asrequired in Section 1.2, are to be submitted to the District in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents. An original certified check or cashiers check payable to the Board of Education or satisfactory original Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. If an original cashiers or certified check or an original signed Bid Bond as required by this Section is not received by the District by the bid submission deadline, the bid will not be considered. The Bid Bond, cashiers check or certified check will be retained as liquidated damages in case the bidder awarded the Contract fails to furnish the required performance and payment bond, insurance certificate, or sign the Contract within ten (10) days after notification of award.
