The City of Richmond is accepting bids for electric motor testing services which consists of troubleshooting, testing, service and repair or replacement of existing motors; removal and installation assistance with motors Bidders choosing to submit bids through hand-delivery should allow extra time for delivery of bids. Hand-delivered bids will be accepted only during the hours of 9:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday at the 9th Street entrance to City Hall at 900 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. Bidders choosing to hand-deliver bids must sign in at the security desk on the 1st Floor before delivery proposals to the 11th Floor, Suite 1104. Bids will not be accepted after the Due Date and Time listed above. Questions concerning requirements must be brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer responsible for this solicitation at least ten business days prior to the solicitation closing date. In general, services consist of, but are not limited to the following: Troubleshooting, testing, service and repair or replacement of existing motors; Removal and installation assistance with motors; and Provide rental motor and pump unit skids or equipment as needed to replace damaged equipment requiring lengthy repair time. The pump and motor skids or equipment needed will be sized and selected based on the required flows and pressures of the system being repaired. The cost of rental equipment will be billed at cost plus an agreed upon percentage up to 15% Electric Motor Testing Service Electric motor testing services consists of the following: Conducting comprehensive visual and mechanical inspection, repair, and testing of electrical motors in accordance with the latest ANSI/EASA - AR100-2010 Recommended Practice for the Repair of Rotating Electrical Apparatus and other standards referenced within this standard as follows; ABMA - American Bearing Manufacturers Association, ANSI - American National Standards Institute, IEC - International Electromechanical Commission IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. and NEMA - National Electrical Manufacturers Association; Providing a report on the test procedures utilized and conditions found along with corrective actions recommended or required (per the latest ANSI/EASA standards) and estimated repair and replacement costs; and Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and operational checks of electric motors including replacement and/or repair of parts, and materials The City reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether to allow such a waiver.
