Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lawndale, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and playground / park / athletic field.

City of Lawndale, California (City) is soliciting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from qualified vendors for the procurement, design, installation, configuration, maintenance and training of an IP-based modern security camera and centralized management system at the following five City-owned recreation facilities in Lawndale: A. Harold E. Hofmann Community Center (14700 Burin Avenue, Lawndale, CA 90260) B. Hogan Park (4045 W. 167th Street, Lawndale, CA 90260) C. Hopper Park (4418 W. 162nd. Street, Lawndale, CA 90260) D. Rudolph Park (14725 Larch Avenue, Lawndale, CA 90260) E. McKenzie Community Garden (4324 W. 160th. Street, Lawndale, CA 90260) The primary goal of this RFP is to solicit and secure the services of a qualified vendor who will procure and provide a modern security camera and centralized management system that will allow footage to be recorded, stored on the cloud, or on a Network Video Recording (NVR) system and remotely viewable from any City work station or mobile device(s) whether inside or outside the City. Locations A, B, C and D above currently have existing security camera systems. However, location E is void of any security camera system. Locations A, B, C and D with existing security camera systems have inadequate facility coverage, such as too few cameras and poor video review quality. In addition, the existing security cameras are of different models and capabilities that do not have a comprehensive system tying them together. Each of the existing systems have different types of hardware and footage can only be viewed on site via a computer monitor. The existing cameras include various technological types such as: Standard Definition (SD) in some cases and High Definition (HD) in others. Please direct any questions pertaining to the site visit/job walk to Mike Estes, Director of Community Services at (310) 973-3272, or via email to mestes@lawndalecity.org.
