HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs and miscellaneous associated work at such times and locations as required. The work shall include, but not be limited to, diagnostic and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and/or associated electrical components; repairs and/or corrections to HVAC units and associated electrical circuits and components; installation of HVAC units and/or components; troubleshooting and repairs to air conditioners, air handlers, computer room air conditioners (CRAC), furnaces, boilers, controls, variable frequency drivers, motors; HVAC upgrades and similar HVAC needs on a job order contract basis. The work shall be located at the POM and Presidio of Monterey Annex (POMA). Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required The contract with a successful bidder will be for a term of one (1) year with a not to exceed annual funding limit of $140,000. The agreement will include an option for an additional two (2) one-year extension with a not to exceed annual funding limit of $140,000. The total term of this agreement will not exceed three (3) years. The amount of work to be requested during the one year or optional additional year twelve-month contract period cannot be well defined at the outset. Work shall be issued through Work Orders. The City reserves the right to award up to four (4) contracts to the lowest responsive, responsible bidders in accordance with Section 28-9(b)(4), Multiple Job Order Contracts Procedure, of the Monterey City Code. At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractor's license. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board. All contractor and sub-contractor license(s) must remain in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Contractor shall notify the City in writing in the event its license is suspended, expires, or has a change in signatory. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids.
