The project consists of using vibratory compaction equipment on the Wiota irrigation canal bottoms and sides to reduce water seepage. Contractor shall perform encased falling head test before and after compaction to document seepage rates. The project has a fixed budget, and the bidder shall indicate the number of lineal feet of the Wiota irrigation canal that they can compact for the bid amount. There are several irrigation canals designated for compaction. In order of priority that they should be bid are Wiota Main Canal and then Laterals 51 and 56. The Wiota Main Canal is approximately 6,873 feet in length and Laterals 51 and 56 are approximately 7,312 feet. Exhibits showing the canal locations and typical sections are provided in Appendix A of the bid documents. Irrigation, Erosion Control/Slope, Bank Stabilization, Drainage, Dredging, Ditches and Canals Site Directions: The work is located on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, more specifically described as Section 30, Township 27 North, Range 43 East, for the Wiota Main Canal and Sections 26 and 27, Township 27 North, Range 42 East, Valley County, Montana for Laterals 51 and 56. Each bidder should submit their separate, sealed Bid to the following address if submitting in person: Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes Attn: Taylor Azure The sealed envelope containing the Bid shall have the following information disclosed on the outside of the envelope: 1. Write the words "Sealed Bid Enclosed" and below it, write the name of the project. 2. Name of person, firm or corporation submitting the Bid, and the address of the bidder placed in the top left corner of the envelope. B. The sealed envelope containing the Bid shall have the following documents inside the envelope containing the Bid: 1. MT Contractor Registration: A copy of Bidder's current and valid Montana Department of Labor and Industry Contractor Registration at the time of Bidding, or Certificate of Renewal thereof issued. 2. Indian-Certified Firm Certification: A copy of Bidder's current and valid Indian certified firm certification issued by the Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes TERO, if any. 3. Acknowledgment of receipt of addenda. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project.
