Scope of work consists of a slurry seal application to prolong the life of roadways at various locations citwide. Also includes striping and markings, traffic loop replacement, traffic control, protection and restoration of existing improvements, removal and restoration of existing improvements. The Pavement Maintenance Program FY2021/22 (CIP No. STL0455) and RMRA Pavement Maintenance FY2021/22 (CIP No. STL0457) include a slurry seal pavement maintenance treatment at various locations citywide. The scope of this project also includes striping and markings, traffic loop replacement, traffic control, protection and restoration of existing improvements, removal and restoration of existing improvements. All labor, material, equipment, and transportation necessary for the project shall be included for all construction bid items listed for this project. The items are to be constructed, finished, and installed in a complete and satisfactory manner in accordance with the Project Drawing No. 21047-01 through 21047-06 and Project Drawing No. 22040-01 through 22040-6 and these specifications. It is the City's intent to maintain these street segments in a timely manner by use of Type II Emulsion Aggregate Slurry (EAS) and Type II Rubber Polymer Modified Slurry (RPMS) pavement treatment unless otherwise indicated. In addition, the City reserves the right to append additional street locations to the contract, summarized in the appendix and Project Drawing No. 22040-02, should the need arise as the result of an emergency or additional funding becoming available. In such a case, all work associated with the additional locations shall be per the submitted bid schedule and no adjustment in compensation shall be made as permitted in Section 3-2 of the Greenbook. If either the need for additional work of for the omission of any anticipated work at a given location is discovered upon field inspection taken prior to any rehabilitative work, the City reserves the right to decrease/increase the amount of the contract accordingly and as allowed by law. The quantity listed in the bid proposal is considered approximate. The Contractor shall be compensated based on the actual quantity of work performed by the Contractor and at the unit price listed on the contract for this item of work.
