The City Council of the City of Minot, North Dakota, has issued a call for proposals for the sale and renovation of a building and property located at 103 4th Avenue NW commonly called the Home Sweet Home. The approved applicant will renovate the property to a standard acceptable to the North Dakota State Historic Preservation Office. The City of Minot Community Development Department is requesting a proposal for the renovation of an 1899 structure located immediately north of downtown Minot, North Dakota. The property was built as a single-family house in the Queen Anne Victorian style. It has a basement and two full floors plus a small third floor located in a tower space accompanied by an attic. The property was relocated in 2017 to make way for flood control measures along the Souris (Mouse) River. Prior to relocation, the structure was used as a commercial space for a store. The property is generally located on the north side of 4th Avenue NW, one block east of North Broadway (US Highway 83) within the city limits of Minot, North Dakota. The zoning of the subject property is RM (Medium-Density Residential). The proposed uses should reflect land uses allowed in that zone. A conditional use may be considered but is not guaranteed
